Connecting ClickUp
ZenPilot Reports needs one connection to your ClickUp workspace. You set it up once, during onboarding, and rarely touch it again.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- A ClickUp account that can see the spaces your team tracks time in. Connect with a workspace admin or owner account so nothing is hidden from the sync.
How to connect
Section titled “How to connect”- During setup (or later in Company Settings), click Connect ClickUp.
- ClickUp asks you to authorize ZenPilot Reports — approve it.
- Pick the ClickUp workspace you want to read time from (if your account belongs to several).
That’s it. The first sync starts pulling in your members and time entries.
What access does it have?
Section titled “What access does it have?”Read-only. ZenPilot Reports reads time entries, tasks, lists, and member names. It never creates, edits, or deletes anything in ClickUp. Your connection credentials are stored encrypted.
Changing or re-connecting
Section titled “Changing or re-connecting”In Company Settings you can re-authorize ClickUp (for example, if the person who connected it leaves) or switch to a different workspace. Switching workspaces changes where all future syncs read from — talk to us first if you’re considering it, because your existing data was built from the old workspace.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”Does my team need to install anything? No. Only one person connects ClickUp; everyone else just tracks time as usual.
We track time with the ClickUp timer / manual entries / integrations — does it matter? No. If the time ends up in ClickUp, the sync picks it up regardless of how it got there.
