Your data: retention & deletion
What we store
Section titled “What we store”Copies of your ClickUp time entries, task/list names, and member names — plus everything you create in the app (clients, projects, rates, expenses). Your ClickUp connection is stored encrypted, and receipts are private to your workspace.
How long time entries are kept
Section titled “How long time entries are kept”Your plan’s data range is also its retention window: on Starter (6 months), time entries older than 6 months are removed on a rolling basis; on Business (3 years), entries older than 3 years; Enterprise keeps everything.
Two things to know about how this is done:
- Your historical totals don’t change. When old entries age out, their value is banked into the projects they belonged to first — a retainer’s lifetime numbers stay correct even after its earliest months’ raw entries are gone.
- Downgrades get a 30-day grace window before the shorter window applies, so you can change your mind without losing history.
The raw entries always remain in ClickUp itself — we only remove our copies.
Deleting your workspace
Section titled “Deleting your workspace”Company Settings → Danger zone → Delete workspace. Type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your organization and all its data — clients, projects, time entries, expenses, everything. It cannot be undone, and it doesn’t touch your ClickUp workspace.
Email preferences
Section titled “Email preferences”Weekly digest emails have an unsubscribe option; transactional emails (invites, alerts you’ve configured) follow your in-app settings.
